Ep. 8: Italo Calvino

You don't always hit it with every book. Sometimes it's just not the right time in your life for whatever it is you've picked up. But hopefully, you get lucky.

I was listening to the New Yorker Fiction Podcast in the bathtub on a cold winter's night and an Italo Calvino short story was meandering its way down the byzantine conduit of my ear. Suddenly I found myself in a surrealist state of a young love affair in a small antiquated Italian village between world wars, wondering what love is truly all about. Thanks, Italo.
