Ep. 3: Paisley Pattern

Last winter, when this song was being born, it snowed terrifically. We couldn't leave the house for a while. And frankly, I was perfectly happy to keep it cozy for as long as need be. Emergency coziness procedures ought to be kept sharp in a place like rural Manitoba.

Paisley Pattern evolved out of that winter "keep-yourself-occupied-so-you-don't-freak-out" attitude, which is where I think a lot of Northernly art comes from. Manitoban artists generally have an opinion on the effect of terrible conditions on quality art.
