“Nowhere No One Knows Where to Find You navigates our eternally changing relationship to environment—one that finds tension and tranquility in equal measure, shifting from one feeling to the other. “Sketchy Symbology” embraces the latter, following the crunch of boots on packed snow with Bohrn’s unadorned vocals, eventually blossoming into a reverb-laden drift, and finally, a loose, wonder-evoking improvisational interlude.” — READ MORE

Bio

Slow Spirit first formed in 2013 after having just graduated from Brandon University’s jazz studies program. Lyrics

T.1 Nowhere No One Knows Where To Find You

Falling asleep / on a train by the sea /on the window side / on a new moon night,

Is that the kind of nowhere you are?

In the wind, in the dust / Riding freeways in a chariot. / This is a tempest in a teacup / and no one is looking for us.

Drifting awake in an aeroplane / Crossing a date line, / Changing our minds, changing our minds. / Changing our minds.

Is that the kind of nowhere you are?

Nowhere no one knows where to find you.

Nowhere No One Knows Where To Find You

“These lyrics started after a friend of mine told me someone in his family had just fallen into a coma. I was trying to imagine what an inconceivable frame of mind it would be, to be in a coma. In a hospital bed, but completely lost from the world in your own mind. Thinking about this reminded me of times in my life, under insane touring conditions, jumping from plane to plane, culture to culture. Not really knowing where I am, not knowing if I could reach out and touch another human being.”
